This interactive, two-hour workshop is designed to help nonprofit professionals and social impact leaders bridge the gap between strategic planning and daily practice. Many organizations develop a Theory of Change, yet struggle to implement it effectively in their day-to-day work. This session will demystify Theory of Change by breaking it down into a practical, actionable framework that guides decision-making, problem-solving, and continuous learning.

Participants will engage in a structured process to:
  • Clarify the problem they are trying to solve and uncover underlying assumptions.
  • Reframe their perspective to identify new opportunities and approaches. Translate complex change strategies into clear, actionable steps.
  • Develop small-scale experiments to test and refine their approach in real time.
By the end of the session, attendees will have a concrete plan for applying these concepts within their organizations, along with tools to foster a culture of adaptive learning and outcome-driven impact.

Workshop Delivery & Learning Approach:
The session will be delivered synchronously in a virtual format and will incorporate student-centered learning approaches, including:
  • Interactive discussions and reflection prompts to encourage engagement.
  • Hands-on exercises and real-world application, allowing participants to work through their own organizational challenges.
  • Multiple modes of learning, ensuring accessibility and alignment with ADA best practices.

Intended Audience:
This workshop is designed for nonprofit professionals, organizational leaders, and changemakers seeking practical strategies to move from planning to action.
